It’s a big day here at Onfido, as Ed Ungar joins our growing team as Chief Commercial Officer.
As a former Director of Channel Partnerships EMEA at Google, Ed was responsible for launching and developing Google’s strategic partnerships in local advertising throughout Europe. Prior to his 9 year stint at Google, Ed worked for the Financial Times in the UK, US and Hong Kong, and at Goldman Sachs in Paris, Milan and London.
As CCO, Ed will be focusing on Onfido’s global expansion. With his extensive knowledge of regional markets and of building international partnerships and teams, he’s the perfect person to help take us to the next level of growth, and we are delighted to have him on board.
2015 has been an eventful year for Onfido. We’ve secured Series A funding, expanded our team to over 50 people, and have welcomed new flagship clients and partners including RelayRides, Deliveroo and Intuit Workforce (formerly Playbook HR). We’re looking forward to 2016, a year that will see Onfido expand across the US, where our presence hasn’t gone unnoticed since the recent opening of our new office in San Francisco.

Through the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning, Onfido’s technology allows global companies to quickly and seamlessly verify the identities of their users as well as check for criminal and other records. Founded in 2012, Onfido has raised a $5.3 million in funding from Wellington Partners, CrunchFund and Oxford University.
